Common questions
How do I remove the audio from a video?
Choose Video without audio, then press Extract. The picture is kept exactly as it is and the soundtrack is dropped, so there is no loss in video quality.
How do I cut a clip from a video online?
Choose Clip, enter the start and end times and press Extract. Fast mode cuts without re-encoding, so it is quick and lossless, but it can start a moment early at the nearest keyframe. Turn on Precise cut for frame-accurate edges.
How do I save a frame from a video as an image?
Choose Still frame, scrub or play the preview and pause on the moment you want, then press Save frame. You can download it as a PNG for full quality or a JPG for a smaller file.
Does extracting a clip reduce video quality?
Not in Fast mode, because the video is copied rather than re-encoded. Precise cut re-encodes the clip, which is slower and applies a small quality setting.
Are my videos uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser and your files stay on your device.
Are there file size limits?
Files up to about 500 MB are the safest. Over about 1.5 GB the browser can run out of memory, and phones may struggle. Fast clips and silent video are the lightest jobs because they do not re-encode.
How do I trim a video online for free?
Choose Clip by time, enter a start and end such as 0:10 and 0:25 and press Extract. Fast mode needs no re-encoding, so it is quick and keeps full quality.
How do I take a screenshot from a video at an exact time?
Choose Still frame, play or scrub the preview to the exact moment, pause and press Save frame. The image is saved at the video’s full resolution.
