Quick fix checklist
- 1Plug the webcam straight into a USB port on the computer, not an unpowered hub.
- 2Press Check camera, allow access and confirm you see a picture.
- 3Remove or slide open the privacy shutter and clean the lens with a soft cloth.
- 4Close apps such as Zoom, Teams, OBS or Logi Tune that may hold the camera.
- 5Try another USB port, preferably USB 3 for higher resolutions, and reconnect the cable.
Resolution and frame rate you should see
A C270 delivers 720p, the C920 and C922 reach 1080p at 30 frames per second, and the Brio supports 4K on a USB 3 port. The browser negotiates a mode, so a lower number can mean a slow port, poor light or another app. Bright, even light also lets the camera keep a higher frame rate.
If the picture is dark, blurry or missing
Dim rooms make cameras slow the frame rate and add noise, so add a lamp in front of you. Autofocus can hunt on a cluttered background.
